Last year I volunteered for SXSW and skipped out on the usual boring days at home or the beach. I learned so much about technology, the newest social media platforms and startups. Even the site I am using for this story won best social media platform at last year’s SXSW so it is not uncommon for great things to emerge from this event. The fact that I can be part of history in the making is a very exciting feeling for a Mass Communication student and tech nerd like me.
This year I wasn’t as impressed with the interactive schedule but still managed to catch some good talks. I did, however see many films and concerts. I’m already counting down the days until next year. Enjoy my experience during my favorite week in Austin.
